Acrylic on Canvas: Part 4

Theme: Christmas

Christmas lights on canvas: Stretched canvas on wood of size 12”*12”

This is the first time I was using stretched canvas and I wanted something beautiful to paint on it. So here comes the third layer of painting over this sheet. The textures are from previous painting which luckily is providing the rocky look of wall on which the decorative lights has been hung. The bokeh effect on the left side has been created with glazing medium. Some lights seems to be far and fainter while some nearer and brighter. Christmas decorations are hung with pearl strings with snowflakes and lights in it. The blue and mauve color used in the background creates a mysterious night aura.

Golden Snowflakes: Canvas of size 12”*12”

Well silver snowflakes are too mainstream. So here comes my golden snowflakes. On a white canvas, I used fabric glue which gets transparent after drying. The one on left-bottom is the regular snowflakes (inspired from frozen 🙂 ) The half snowflakes is the really decorative. The use of a bit of mauve color has made this snowflakes an antique. The other snowflakes is getting distorted and an imperfect one. Well what is perfect in this imperfect world. 😉 Out of the three the antique one is my favourite.

Pinky spirals: Canvas of size 6”*8”
Glue is becoming an obsession for me. Here I have used Pink and white fabric colors to make these spirals. I didn’t plan on this. It just came on canvas. Some whites, some pinks, some pinkish whites and some whitish pink. And I just love the pink sprinkles originating from top-right corner.

And this is the full view of my painting table. Cheers!!
